No one thought libraries were free. They are still better for communities than corporate bookstores.

My public library (the busiest in California!) is perpetually packed with people using the resources there to get jobs or other income. Having gainfully employed neighbors is of great interest to me as a taxpaying homeowner.

Library taxes are based on property taxes. The bigger your house the more you pay. If you can't afford $500 a year then maybe you can't afford that multi-million dollar mansion? Leave libraries and the kids who use them alone!
