I get respecting personal preferences, but ineffective communication is still ineffective communication, even if it feels normal to some. People really should not do this. It causes more ambiguity & uncertanty for the brain to process — and increases levels of anxiety hormones.

The Great Walkway is San Francisco’s newest public health infrastructure. We’d be insane to waste this space on cars ever again. 🙌 Add your email to join the movement for our shared, all ages, all abilities, healthy future. – at Ocean Beach

ending an email "stay safe" - boring - passive - vague ending an email "watch your back" - promotes vigilance - provides concrete way to remain safe - reminds the reader that covid is all around us

    - The smudging is likely inevitable after sunscreen re-application. My preferred right now is Supergoop's Glow Stick since it's the only sunscreen I've been able to find that doesn't leave my face with a white cast.
