I think it’s been out a while but watched the Brainiac documentary film last night. One of the best music docs: a heady blend of nostalgia, tragedy, with an uplifting closing payoff. Impressive array of talking heads too.

Picked up the reissue of Rid of Me yesterday - must be at least 20 years since I sat and listened from start to finish. Still sounds as raw and uncompromising as it ever did. A 10/10 classic.

I could sit here all day and quote memorable David Berman couplets and never grow tired. He had no competition. He was the competition.

Brilliant Keith Haring exhibition and great accompanying Soul Jazz LP release. Definitely worth a trip to Tate Liverpool.

Incredible gig- a few were agog at what we’d witnessed by a band so young. Proves that occasionally the hype is justified.

There’s the bar set for gig of 2019 - combining La Düsseldorf / Neu! motorik grooves with the best David Byrne on stage convulsions witnessed in a long time - absolutely thrilling stuff. I wanna do it all over again. 💯

BBC R4’s Today programme giving a platform to Farage yet again - what other two-bit, yet-to-launch party gets such airtime? His rhetoric remains dangerously inflammatory and yet he never gets called out for it in interviews.
