Isn't it funny how Tricia and her team didn't support Patrick who was by far the toughest on guns?...lots of backdoor politics going on.

She has failed the North Country in many arenas, but the worst is in the economic one. The North Country is hurting and no good jobs were created under her watch.

“We don't care if we're on tape. Tedra Cobb is as open and honest a politician as you'll ever meet" WOW! So lying to the voters is as “open and honest” as it gets? If stating your position will lose the election, you are not a representative of your people.

The rest of the story: Looks like your attack ad lied when it said Tedra voted to raise taxes 21 times. Sad that you have to resort to lies to garner votes. I look forward to highlighting them for you.

The facts on your lies: Items 1-4: During the four years in question, the property tax rate decreased by 2.72 percent. While it is true that the budget increased every year, the total assessed value of real estate increased more rapidly, and so THE TAX RATE WENT DOWN.

Items 5-7: No one voted to raise taxes. The county legislature asked the state for authority to increase the SALES TAX if necessary to meet expenses in the future. This was as an alternative to the property tax, w/o the burden of taxation falls almost entirely on homeowners.

Item 8: A resolution to tax not-for-profits was circulated in committee. It was in the “mark-up” stage. The resolution never made it to the floor. NO VOTE WAS TAKEN.

Item 9: During the budget review process, the estimated revenue from the sales tax was increased by 1.28 percent. The estimate was increased, not the sales tax itself. No one voted to increase taxes. Beginning to see the pattern here?

Item 10: The legislature supported the request of certain other counties to increase their sales tax by up to 4 percent. No one fancied such an increase for St. Lawrence County. NO ONE VOTED TO RAISE TAXES. Another lie. .
