I'm no fan of Facebook's privacy practices, but the current hysteria is ridiculous. Let's stop looking for scapegoats for the 2016 election result and focus on the real problems.

This is false dichotomy: they are both important. The argument "Why are you focusing on <insert concern here> when there is <insert bigger thing here>" isn't a logical one. Fixing why people voted for Trump is crucial. And so is avoiding vote manipulation. It's not either/or.

I'm not American so it always strikes me as a bit odd when people try to "explain" the election result in the way you do when the truth is Hillary Clinton got 3 million more votes than Trump. Explain why more Americans wanted her as their president than Trump.
