Half of the female STEM faculty in the US were hired over more qualified men.

I remember when McEnroe went on NPR and said Williams was the greatest women's tennis player of all time. When asked why she wasn't the greatest outright, he said she would rank 700th in the men's division. Lotta anger, not a lot of suggested rankings.

Bobby Riggs, former #1 UTA said that, and then Billie Jean King beat him in 3 sets.

I have an estimate: you were hired over a more qualified women.

My estimate is that judging by his age, he had to compete with very few women when we was starting out. Now as women are slowly but steadily increasing their numbers in STEM, he's like "excusez moi, females appearing in my lab-ore-ah-tory? And not just as typists? Pshaw!"

Why should we bring new data when your own refutes your claim?https://twitter.com/Steve_Mang/status/1477747443634561026?t=LQCzIwOQCbnRWX-tHEKldw&s=19 …

You didn’t feel the need to back yours up with any data, why should those that dispute you make any more effort than you did. I could spend all day telling you how I was treated differently in the computer field than every single man even though I was more capable.

Okay, here's my estimate: none.

Wow. No female STEM faculty has ever been hired over a more qualified male? You can't be serious.

None? Really? Funny how you are ignoring the fact that tweeters have replied with actual studies and statistics refuting your estimate.

So what's their estimate?
