These people keep skipping over the "identical credentials" part as though those words weren't there, which of course they do because in their minds there's no such thing.

i don’t think you know what the word “describe” means. i nearly quoted you - what you said was you’d hire the woman “if they’re otherwise identical”. how many instances in history have two peoples’ CV’s been exactly identical

You've lost the plot - this thread started with a CompSci prof drastically misinterpreting a study that artificially created literally identical candidates. The study showed a preference for female candidates in that scenario, and I'd have the same preference.

You're confused. It started with an NRC report, as I said long ago.

Which you have consistently refused to link to. You've also consistently failed to respond to citations of studies with results that directly contradict your original post.
