The article says that if presented with equally qualified M and F candidates, the F candidates get the offer. My guess as to why? To balance out the misogynistic Faculty already on staff, such as yourself. PROVE ME WRONG.

IOW, the study reflects who young, non-hiring staff would choose if it were individually up to them. Neither condition reflects real-world conditions. So the study is, at best, an interesting hypothetical, not an analysis of real-world conditions. Not the support you think it is

Pedro, the conclusion of the first study refutes your claim. "Thus these data give no support to the twin claims that weaker males are chosen over stronger females or weaker females are hired over stronger males."

How credulous do you have to be to believe that? Women are preferred over equally qualified men -- no one seems to be disputing that ("redressing inequality"). Chances are near nil that the qualifications are always exactly equal.
