If I may add as well. I work at OpenReview and the vast majority of ethics reviewers from major conferences like NeurIPS are very prominent researchers that are good at math and do a lot of AI theory at big and prestigious institutions

Actually, you stated a fact with zero evidence ("very prominent AI researchers reviewed ethics paper, etc."). So it seems your claim has no weight.
