When one considers that the smartest people in tech optimize ads or the billions that are burned on marketing, one can only come to the conclusion that capitalism is highly flawed. Unfortunately we have yet to come up with something better.

Optimizing ads has very high economic value. It’s a great example of a nonzero-sum game.
