As if women and men pursuit such a degree at the very same rate... they are at best discriminating against male candidates and risking a lot on not really converting such amount of female graduates to actual computing professionals at the end of their programs.
-
I see this in person. I work at a global finance group that handles a significant amount of programming and automation work. Our HR team is desperate to hire women into tech roles but the number of women who pursue tech jobs after doing a computer science degree is tiny.

Women increasing participation is evidence of discrimination against men? Pardon me patriarchist, but your bias is showing.
-
Really depends on what lead to the increased participation. If they made the entry barriers higher for men then it is discrimination

Such a distasteful and disappointing take.

Lots of respect for you sir, but why do you dismiss the fact that this was achieved without any discrimination but rather with better outreach that got more qualified women to apply?
-
Or that the original process was not discriminatory in the first place?
