I still really don't get what you mean by this soundbite and would love to understand. Assuming the world is discrete, how do you mean to use this fact in your computer?
Use only finite set cardinalities, not real numbers (which are an endless source of pain and error on computers, as any numerical analyst can tell you).

I mean how do you want to model things? Like take every discrete particle in a complicated system and model it individually? Obviously you discretise stuff to put it in a computer, but give a single example of how you'd get around the continuous "middleman"?
