Not true. The energy of free particles can have any value within current energy measurement precision. We have discrete values because measurement is finite. This is unlike the energy levels of bound systems for example. We have no clue if free particles have quantized energy.

Same is true for many other quantities. Space and time between events for example. Momentum of free particles.
