Weird (but true) to think that computers don't actually work with 1's & 0's but rather continuous distributions of electrical charge & then a threshold forces the outcome into binary 0 or 1. Then we jump through all these hoops to make this artificial binary represent reality.

Sr. Domingos is evidently aware that the bit, i.e. the base 2 digit, is a mathematical abstraction that exists apart from its concrete representation. bits may be represented in a literally infinite number of material ways. electrons are not necessary. ~Duo
