I think that you deliberately misconstrue discussion of bias in algorithms. The problem is that the unconscious bias of the engineer can influence the algorithm. It means that if the program has biased output the inputs & assumptions need to be examined.

Algorithms & models need to be judged by results. By their fruits ye shall know them. Models with biased outcomes discriminate & their effect is just as harmful as conscious deliberate bias
