@CatherineFlick who is both a computer scientist and an ethicist and can do both. Thought she might be interested in seeing this tweet. Also ethicists are important to the research climate.
There's a difference between real ethicists and the ideologues we mostly have in AI.

Real ethics versus fake ethics sounds a lot like ethics that don't ask anything of you versus ethics that requires you to rethink some of your actions and commitments. These ethicists you insult are asking you to consider broader impacts of AI and it seems you don't want this.

Is this a joke or a tribunal? Who are you to distinguish a real ethicist from is the kind you malign? A lot of those you attack on line have credentials in CS as well as ethics, which is more than you can say for yourself.
