That's how science works. Ethics is a field within philosophy. AI is a field within computer science. I don't expect AI researchers to discuss Kant vs. Hegel either. Although it wouldn't hurt to try, at least - maybe you wouldn't have said what you just did if you had.
AI ethicists are just tech wokes. They don't know anything about Kant and Hegel (those dead white males).
