Something that frustrates me often is this overemphasis on cognition. Emotional theory and research is just as important. My next 3 podcast episodes are a type of “miniseries” on emotion. I hope everyone listens and engages.

Mmmm I think both are complex in different ways. The fact that emotion research are trying to describe discrete subjective experiences and then build out a taxonomy aware of how other cultures do that…very complex.
Emotions can be accurately reduced to a smallish set of principal components. Vision or language can't.

I would be curious to see how you define emotion. It’s pretty complex. You can use some Bayesian principles for it but even still…lots of unanswered questions…
