von Neumann made important contributions to physics (notably formalising QM as functional analysis) but it pales in comparison to Einstein. He did have incredibly broad range, so if one is counting pure math as science, I don't think it is outrageous to put him above Einstein.

As great as von Neumann's other contributions have been, his eponymous architecture is mislabeled. According to many accounts, the early draft of the report that was circulated had other contributors' names missing.
