Reality check: no one has ever built a quantum computer with qubits lasting more than a tiny fraction of a second, and quite possibly they never will.

You state as a matter of factly that “no one” has done this, but the reality is that this has been done many times by independent groups around the globe. Your claim that “quite possibly they never will” is not absolute, but the rest is.

Yes, or “Absolutely,” if you prefer: “No one has ever built a Quantum Computer,” which really means an actually useful genuinely reliable and commercially viable unit. “And [probably] never will.”
