Quite the opposite - empirically, everything is continuous.

Again, you are making the mistake of conflating the *solutions* of the fundamental laws of Physics (energy levels of the Hydrogen atom, photons), with the laws themselves (Schroeding Equation, QED).

Every time people wanted to abandon the fundamental continuity of the nature and its laws, we ended up with even MORE continuous fundamental laws.
