Any successful example of such symbolic learning?
Gosh, where to begin? XGBoost and random forests are symbolic learners, so it's won more Kaggle competitions than just about any other ML method. Then there are all the methods for learning & reasoning w/ knowledge graphs. Then all the applications of ILP in comp bio. Etc., etc.
