The claim that state-funded child care is better for the children is ludicrous. Who do you think takes better care of a child - the mother, or someone who's getting paid a very low wage to do it?

Why did you eliminate father from the options?
I didn't. (As you know, statistically mothers are much more likely to be the stay-at-home caregiver, so the default I used is entirely appropriate. Don't get fixated on such things - it's silly and a distraction.)
