The claim that state-funded child care is better for the children is ludicrous. Who do you think takes better care of a child - the mother, or someone who's getting paid a very low wage to do it?

For a non-negligible amount of mothers, the low wage worker is better.
So you’re in favor of putting the children in orphanages, 19th-century-style.

Not orphanages, but in some cases, a little less time with the mother and a little more time with other chiLdren and an educational professional (even if low wage) is positive for the child. Some households are sad.
