Raise the wage or pay the mother.
The claim that state-funded child care is better for the children is ludicrous. Who do you think takes better care of a child - the mother, or someone who's getting paid a very low wage to do it?

There's also the bizarre spectacle of ppl advocating its funding on basis that it increases GDP, of course it does, it transfers childcare from being an activity undertaken voluntary to an economic service, it doesn't show ppl are better off with incentive-distorted decisions
