The poor are poor because they're unproductive, not because they're exploited.

I suspected this was what you meant. I agree in the context, but, professor, don't you think that a deeper root of this problem might be our model for representing value and its dynamics (money/economics)? "productivity" becomes a narrowed definition. Harder bone to chew, tho

“Productivity” is the path for the progress of the majority of society or “productivity” is the Target?

Productivity is a means, not an end.

Yes, for example, by removing immigration restrictions. A Haitian worker's labor would be ~10x more productive as soon as they move to the US. This is the single most effective thing we could do tomorrow to improve the overall welfare of the world. Nothing else comes even close.

Productivity is how exploitation works! Both are real or both are imaginary depending on how much capital you own. If everyone was required to give it away to strangers based on their productivity, inequality would not exist.

"Productivity" seems to be subjective, no? You may say you're productive but others may think you're not... so what's the universal scale of measuring productivity (if there's any)? 1/2

If you say it's "work", there're lots of farmers in my country gets exploited by the upper class, they grow corps whole year, feed the whole country, but can't feed their own family because they don't get what they deserve. 2/2
