This claim, which has gotten a ton of traction, rests on a pretty obvious error. The claim that all math is produced by physical objects should be read as the claim that all *representations* of mathematics are produced by physical objects. But, a representation of X ≠ X.https://twitter.com/pmddomingos/status/1447787657468076032 …
The things mathematics represents also exist in the physical world, including in your imagination, or not at all.

Thanks for engaging. That something exists in my imagination is not evidence that it is governed by the laws of physics. Eg I can imagine Superman, but he is not governed by the laws of physics.

But, far more importantly, this line of reasoning presupposes that the representations of mathematics reveal metaphysical truths about what is represented. And this is just not obvious. All that is revealed are the limits of the system of representation.
