The diversification advice actually means: diversify in asset classes with equal or similar risk/return profile (or proportionally if not, to maintain a target risk/return portfolio). Not random.
@RayDalio articulates this well, and is the basis of his risk parity concept. -
I recommend a balanced portfolio of noise and bitcoin, then.
