There's no such thing as a free lunch, and there's no such thing as free college.

My university spent the last year convincing everyone that online classes were equivalent in value to in-person classes. This week I found out they’re purposefully making online classes poor quality on purpose to argue that in-person classes are more valuable.

They apparently tell the professors to try to make online access a burden (even though COVID-19 mandates require us to attend remotely if we have any symptoms… including headache) by assuring poor visual/audio quality.

I found this out through a professor. He said that universities have become “fragile” towards online classes and want students in person because of housing money; he had to stop using AirPods to help online students hear him better during hybrid lectures.
