After accounting for taxes, benefits, etc., inequality in the US has not increased in the last 20 years.
Do you see increases in wealth which are not monetary compensation as income? So if someone's stock or land valuation increased 100 times but he never sold or realized it, does your model capture that?
.. interesting, I think views on this differ , I find it a bit implausible but I will let experts argue about this ( I am not)
Tell that to the dozen or so people that own about 50% of the wealth in USA. Or the exploding numbers of billionaires. Or the growing number of people who cannot own a home.
