I've been surprised we don't hear more about algae-based biodiesel. Algae grown in waste water treatment tanks, near urban centres, oil from algae used to make diesel.

Solar/wind is already on par with fossil fuels in most places. We still have to solve the base-line power problem. Wish there were more research/interest in nuclear.

The answer to soaring energy prices and stringent climate goals cannot be to increase the use of fossil fuels, but to power produced from renewable sources. More and more companies and consumers are already looking for an opportunity to obtain cheaper energy in them.
