As people climb the elite ladder in academia and other institutions, they cease to have meaningful interactions outside that bubble. Elitism allows them to see people on the ground as needing their leadership.

There are people from different socioeconomic and educational backgrounds and life experiences who are kind, involved, caring, empathetic, sympathetic, generous, open, concerned, and plugged in. To generalize about "elites" and other groups is unfair, narrow-minded, and unhelpful

What's yr evidence for any such creation? Educated people are, on average, less likely to believe in conspiracy theories, more racially tolerant, pro-choice, etc. They're also willing to wear masks & get vaccinated.
