The Puritans helped break the hold the Catholic Church had on western society. “Cancel culture” is helping break systemic racism and misogyny. Overreaches happen, and we need to watch for and prevent them. That doesn’t mean the cause is unjust or should be abandoned.

I'd have to disagree that cancel culture is is helping breaking systemic racism and mysoginy. All it's doing is changing what people say in public. Because cancel culture wasn't created with integrity, it's not actually doing what it's purported to do.
