But you could train a large model to "understand" all the nanoassociations and nanopatterns among all the world's words, sights (images), sounds, smells, etc. That would be amazing. And that kind of ambitious project is now in reach.

AI appears to be evolving along many paths simultaneously, at varying rates of speed for various modes of intelligence, and with multiple schemes for integrating and coordinating those modes. There may not be a single clear "solution" to the AI challenge.
