You believe smart home lights and other 1st world problems are more important than food or shelter? We need to get everyone up to some base quality of life, so they can focus on things besides keeping themselves alive.

As if there is no such thing as innovation that promotes equity, also implying there aren't hard problems worth solving that can improve the quality of life for the poorest. What an awful take.
