I’m progressive and don’t think poor people are dumb. Then, I’m not entirely sure how we’re defining “poor.”
My progressive friends think poor people are dumb and need to be forced to do what's good for them. I disagree.

Not dumb but ignorant and with little access to education. So if they know less about their interests and how to achieve them then it would be nice to suggest, not force, them to do what's good for them.
