As a rule of thumb, the more extreme a weather event, the less likely you can ascribe it to climate change.

Did I claim it was? Unless increased thermal energy in the atmosphere doesn’t increase the maximum possible wind speed then what I said holds true. Same applies to atmospheric moisture.
