I wouldn't put LLMs under "too many potential bad uses". They're a major real-world success of AI, used in Google searches, etc. Bad uses are insignificant in comparison.

Not sure I agree. LLMs no doubt have innumerable beneficial uses--especially in CSCW scenarios. But they certainly do offer as many angles for misuses--in as much as they powerfully exploit our vulnerability in confusing syntax with semantics..https://twitter.com/rao2z/status/1403701958016344064 …
