Probably not fair but I would say it's much, much less fair to have 600k homeless people in your country.
Homelessness is not a problem of fairness, and seeing it as one does nothing to solve it.

plus an absurd amount of people behind bars, which is also a clear consequence of the inequality. For me a society that has those numbers isn't fair almost by definition, specially being rich.
