I have no idea how to evaluate this.

first, the lab hypothesis is not the only alternative to the seafood market hypothesis (for example, previous outbreaks might have been undetected). second, it seems to me that the article strengthens the hypothesis of a spillover rather than a manufactured virus.

There's no evidence in the genome of the virus for any artificially made sequences. This is a wild type virus. This is not but a conspiracy theory. Enough genetic and phylogenetic analysis have beem performed to confirm its wild origin.

I often regret that such high-impact studies don't have a 1-sentence TL;DR statement. This will really make science more accessible and interpretable by non-professionals.
