Why everyone insists on misunderstanding the Occam's razor. It is really simple concept. If there exits equally correct two model, then the description of reality is probably the simpler one. Tow key words here: Equally and probably.

Professor, Occam's Razor does not require that we prefer a simpler but less accurate model. It requires merely something like that as between two equally accurate models, we prefer the simpler one.

sure but why even use it as a tie-breaker if the more complicated models are usually more accurate? (imo the best version of occam's razor is v weak: prefer A over B if A only includes a proper subset of B's posits and is just as good otherwise)
