And you need to read to understand, "a large number of a specific group". Won't you expect this specific group to feel unsafe, so perpetrator throwing in a few diversities makes it all right & well. It doesn't change the fact abt the majority of the victims.
They weren't shot because they were Asians. They were shot because they were sex workers.

They were shot because they were easy targets. No matter how you try to put it, race is going to be a factor. The numbers tell the story.

The shooter was a sex addict with mental health problems who had frequented those parlors before. The same would have happened with sex workers of any other race (and indeed, two of the victims were white men).
