It actively prevents us to stay. Talking from experience :)
America's main immigration problem is that it lets in far too few immigrants, particularly highly qualified ones.

Let's feed, house, educate, and provide healthcare before letting in more people. The immigration that is being promoted today is to cause chaos and destruction by design. Yes additional high IQ immigration would help but it's better to keep it simple and end immigration for now.
