I know Chinese people who say they are freer than Americans because the only thing they can't do is speak up against the Communist Party, while in America the forbidden list is ever-growing.

This has actually occurred to me as well. That the Chinese are now more free than the west. Free to believe there are two sexes, free to believe that objevtive truth exsists. Free to believe that you can have dignity and self respect even if you are male, etc.
