Ironically, it's because Americans are determined to not be racist that they give a sympathetic hearing to an absurdity like critical race theory.

The best is when they realize that doesn’t sound right, they shift to “We need to have an honest conversation about race”, implying that all conversations up to that point were dishonest and now we’re going to hear the truth, which just happens to be CRT.
