Superstitions are the way human brains try to understand the world. They try to find the cause for every effect. Relating a wrong cause to an observed effect results in superstition. An average human cannot perceive all the causes thus superstition makes more sense to their brain

And then there is what science has a hard time with, which is real. I guess the most generic terms is "Law of Attraction" but its more than just this. Science has touched on this in terms of quantum physics, but that's more like baby steps and computers are unavoidable limited.
