This is what Eric Weinstein calls the "has-a vs is-a" fallacy. A Lamborghini "has-a" radio. Saying that it "is-a" radio is incredibly reductive. Yet we do that to people based on something as insignificant as skin color.

When does "labelled" become "pigeonholed"? It seems to me that there is a reduction process going on there, with lazy categorizers deleting/ignoring labels that are non-sensationalist, positive, etc...
