Or even just pluralistic, or apolitical?

Modern conservatism in the US has been rather anti-intellectual for a while now. At times they seem to be outright opposed to higher education. Given this, it makes sense that few colleges are conservative.
-
I'd say it's more the other way around: it's because colleges have become ultra-liberal that conservatives have become disillusioned with them.

Why should universities be political? I thought science is the study of the nature and behavior of natural things. Biases creep into the conclusions of that process, but that doesn't seem to be desirable or something that we should accommodate. 1/2

Or do you mean "liberal"/"conservative" as an attribute of the university's administrative processes? 2/2

Baylor had the good idea to be The Christian University, but it seems to have given up on that project some years ago.

It's odd, because colleges and universities could clean up financially and academically if they differentiated their product instead of all being a mix of Clintonite and Woke. A few are 100% Woke, I guess, and doing well as a result. Hillsdale is skyrocketing with its SAT scores.
