"Science says" are powerful words. To harness them: 1. Silence everyone in a scientific field who disagrees with your agenda. 2. Claim that there's a consensus in that field supporting your agenda. 3. Call opponents anti-science. It worked in climate science. It's working in AI.

It also helps if you can point to thousands of peer reviewed articles published in esteemed journals and the opposite opinion has hogwash.
What really helps is if the opposite opinion can't publish its high-quality articles because you're in control of the peer review process.

Seriously. You can literally look at the natural records and find the same thing that Mann found. The Koch's paid someone to find out if Mann was wrong, and instead found he was right. There is a mountain of evidence you're trying to disprove.
