I never get this argument. If you really believe this is true, do you actively try to raise your children in the highest crime neighborhoods?
No, but you expose them to a wide variety of ideas and situations in college, etc. The opposite of trigger warnings, safe spaces and the like.

Two things here: 1) Safe spaces don’t eliminate alternative ideas, they’re just small refuges where people can process trauma. Doesn’t mean that other ideas don’t exist out in the greater world. 2) how wide is wide enough in terms of ideas/situations?
